Love and Sas
Lovena Fox (vocals)
Saskia Garel (vocals)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lovena 'Love' Fox was the lead singer for various funk and R
& B bands and worked on Vancouver stages including over 1000
performances as part of the cast of 'Ain't Misbehavin'" and
did backing vocals with the likes of Bon Jovi, The Payolas,
Little Ceasar and Colin James.
Saskia 'Sas' Garel was born in Jamaica and emigrated to Toronto
at an early age and went on to study jazz and classical voice
which won her the Oscar Peterson Award for high artistic
standards. She later became the singer for reggae band Coconut
Groove.
By the summer of 1993, Love and Sas split up citing creative
differences. Sas continued her management deal with Ivan Berry
and honoured the deal the duo had with BMG by releasing a solo
album. Lovena Fox returned to Vancouver.
